Wellbeing First
Updated: Dec 8, 2020
Your well-being, physical and mental, is important and can take many forms. It can be dedicating more time to exercise, hobbies, or activities that relax you and give you a break from the hectic chaos that life tends to be.
Here are some tips to keep you on track.
SMART Goals
As you continue to nurture your hobbies and passion projects, be mindful of how you set goals. When you set goals for yourself, they need to be S.M.A.R.T. goals. S.M.A.R.T. stands for Sustainable, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Time-boxed. Basically, you need to be able to reasonably act on and fulfill the goals you have set. So, it’s not feasible to, for example, go from working out once a week to five times a week. Instead, start smaller and work your way up to your ultimate goal. Instead of going straight to five days a week. Go to two until you feel comfortable. Then to three days a week. Keep increasing your smaller goals incrementally so that you can successfully reach your ultimate goal.
The idea is to take small steps and gain success on your way to a bigger goal.
